One November day, the news that Ko Chung Song, a disabled ex-soldier living in the neighborhood unit No.2 of Thapje-dong No.1, Taedonggang District, was getting married spread over the unit, delighting the inhabitants.
Jon Myong Suk, head of the unit, was more pleased than anyone else after hearing the news.
For Jon who has lived next door to Ko’s family for a long time, it was as glad as her real younger brother’s marriage.
So Jon made preparations for the disabled ex-soldier’s wedding party with members of the neighborhood unit.
Officials in dong, too, helped prepare his wedding reception materially and morally and the officials and employees of the Taedonggang Rakwon Technical Company, where Ko is working, spared no efforts to provide daily necessities for Ko’s newlywed life.
Meanwhile, a consultative meeting took place at the office of the senior official of the district Party committee on such issues of Ko’s marriage as preparing the marriage table and arranging well the house of newly married couple.
Thanks to their warm sincerity, the wedding ceremony of Ko Chung Song was held significantly, and the newly-married couple was able to build a new life at the newly-built house.
Ko, who entered the new house amid the blessings of grateful persons, pictured the looks of many people who had devoted their sincerities to him.
That day he looked at the letters "We Are All One Family" hung on the wall of his house for a long time.
