Iranian officials denounced the hypocritical acts of the U.S. and the West who are engaged in high-handed and arbitrary practices under the cover of “human rights” and “peace”.
In his recent speech at a joint meeting of the government and the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the President of Iran said that countries supposed to be “defending human rights and peace” are causing instead war and bloodshed.
He denounced that countries calling themselves “defenders of human rights” have only stood by and watched when the Israeli regime murdered tens of thousands of children in the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
The Iranian president remarked that it is disgraceful that such tragedies are produced by the support of the U.S. and the Western countries and by their weapons.
The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement posted on a social network platform said that abusing the subject of human rights as a political tool is the greatest threat to the protection of human rights together with double standards and preferential approach.
The spokesperson added that it is also an illegal misconduct which puts the reliability and authenticity of the human rights system into danger.
In another statement made by the commander of Iran’s Air Force at a press conference, he expressed his stand to go all out against the aggressive acts of Israel.
He said that it is questionable that countries claiming to be “defending human rights” are turning a blind eye towards the crimes ceaselessly perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
