Trade union officials and members make study tour of revolutionary battle sites in Mt. Paektu area

Officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea from across the country made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu between the 4th and the 10th.
During the tour, they laid floral baskets and bouquets before the bronze statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in revolutionary battle sites and the city of Samjiyon.
They left Hyesan on the 4th. Arriving in Pochonbo, they looked round the command post of the Battle of Pochonbo, police sub-station, sub-county office and so on before touring the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site and the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site.
In the Sobaeksu Valley, they looked up at the Jong Il Peak with great excitement.
Going round the Headquarters log cabin and Kim Jong Il's old home in the Paektusan Secret Camp, they looked back with deep emotion upon the noble revolutionary lives of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
They climbed the top of Mt. Paektu on the 8th.
Touring the Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs and the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site, they reflected on whether they are living and working in the spirit of the fighters who devoted their youth and lives without hesitation to accomplish the historic cause of national liberation.
They held an oath-taking meeting in the education yard before the bronze statue of Kim Jong Il in the city of Samjiyon on the 10th.
During the march, they billeted outdoors like the anti-Japanese guerrillas, conducted various political and cultural activities and visited the Samjiyon Revolutionary Museum, the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory and so on.
