The DPRK Cabinet hosted a reception at theOkryu Restaurant in Pyongyang on October 29 to welcome the Korean table-tennisteam who were successful at the 2024 Asian Table-Tennis Championships.
Present there were Vice-Premier Kim Myong Hun,Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, officials in such relevant fieldsas sports and players and coaches of the table-tennis team.
Kim Myong Hun made congratulatory remarks atthe reception.
He warmly congratulated Kim Kum Yong and other table-tennisplayers and coaches who beat all the opponents in the 2024 Asian Table-TennisChampionships to hoist the national flag in the sky above the world.
He said that the table-tennis players of the DPRK, whotook part in the championships with the unusual pride and honour of beingsportspersons of Juche Korea, fully displayed their physical and technicalabilities and thus rocked not only Asia but also the global table-tennis world.
He called on all players and coaches to conductintensive training with an ambition to become world champions and perfectKorean-style tactics to bring honour to the country with gold medals.
Kim Kum Yong in her reply speech expressed herresolve to keep putting spurs to training, bearing in mind the honour of theday, so as to live up to the trust and expectations of the country and peoplewith greater success in games.
