In August one year four primary school-age children of the Korean diplomats in an African country were waiting to return home, for the new school year was to begin in the following month in their home country.
Informed of this, Chairman Kim Jong Il (February 16, 1942-December 17, 2011) told relevant officials to send a special plane so that the children could go to school together with their peers in the motherland. Thus a special plane was dispatched to bring back the young pupils.
When the special plane on its way back home stopped at the airport of a country to refuel, some high officials of that country were there. They were surprised to know that the passengers were children, not a high-ranking delegation.
After being told by the Korean pilot whom the plane was sent for, one of the officials said, wide-eyed with amazement, that he could now understand what it meant by calling children “kings” in the DPRK.
He arranged a special party for the young Korean children. On that occasion he said that if possible, he would like to be born again in the DPRK.
