The DPRK embassy in Hanoi hosted a reception on Thursday to mark the 75 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Present there on invitation were Bui Thanh Son, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Vietnam, personages of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions including the Foreign Ministry, the Commission for External Affairs of the C.C., the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Vietnam, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association and the newspaper Nhan Dan.
DPRK Ambassador to Vietnam Ri Sung Guk and staff members of his embassy were on hand.
Ri Sung Guk and Bui Thanh Son made speeches at the reception.
On the same day, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Vietnam sent floral baskets to the DPRK embassy.
